1) What kinds of troubles were confronting the psalmist throughout Psalm 46?

2) What do you notice about the declarations of faith in this psalm (vv. 1, 7, 11)? What images are used? Pronouns?

3) Read Psalm 46:10 and then read Mark 4:36-41. How are they similar? Different?

4) Are you more concerned about big catastrophes or personal relationship issues? How does this psalm speak to each?

5) Jesus will ultimately bring peace. How might knowing this comfort and encourage you?

6) Where do you need God to bring you peace today? Remember that He is “our God,” He is strong, and He loves you. Ask for His help today!
