Our Basic Schedule
Student Worship- Wednesday Night @ 6:00pmOur Student worship services on Wednesday night are designed specifically for students to honor Christ with friends, music, fun games, and a relevant Biblical message. This is a great opportunity to bring friends to hear a message from God’s Word.
Small Groups- Sunday Mornings @ 9:15am On Sunday Mornings we have our small groups. These are groups made up of same grade, same gender students. It is during our small group times where students are really able to connect with other students, connect with caring adults, and connect with God. We help students take what they are learning and apply it to their everyday life. Don't Miss Out on this important part of your journey. We all need to be held Accountable.
Service Projects throughout the year We want every one of our middle school students to discover their Spiritual gifts and give them opportunities to serve God in the Church, locally, stateside, and globally. There will be multiple opportunities to sign up to serve through Small Groups to help out the local community. We also offer a stateside mission trip, foreign mission trip or the ability to give financially to a global organization known as Operation Christmas Child.

Ministry to ParentsI truly believe my primary role is to partner with parents in the spiritual development and discipleship of students. The parent is the primary faith trainer of their child, and I want to be here to help them with that journey. Here are a few resources to help!
1) Go to firststudents.co/parents to find valuable resources designed just for parents of teens.
2) Sign up for our weekly emails and text reminders so you can stay informed on what is happening at First Bossier
Walk the Path... Most parents in America believe that it is their responsibility to instill spiritual truth in the life of their children. Deuteronomy 6, Psalm 78, and Ephesians 6:4 compel parents to take the spiritual training of their children very seriously. As parents, our best effort at spiritual training is often bringing our kids to church. This is only a small part of the solution. We believe it is our job to equip parents to effectively train our children in the Christian faith as they do the common things of life.1. Faith Talks are intentional times set aside at least once each week for conversation around the Scripture with your family. We see this as a priority because we are convinced that spiritual training takes place one step at a time in the context of everyday life. While leading Faith Talks, relationship is your priority, the Bible is your handbook, and life is your classroom. For parents with middle school students, Faith Talks are the primary vehicle for leading your children along the path between each milestone.2. God Moments are spur of the moment conversations that happened based on what is happening in the world around you. A commercial on tv, a rainbow in the sky, and not making the basketball team are some examples when you would be able to seize a God Moment. They are crucial and beneficial to your middle school student learning that God matters and He is all of the time and not just on Sunday mornings. 3. Celebrating Milestones – Rites of Passage
6th Grade – Preparation of AdolescenceGo on a 35-day relationship-building journey with your student! For a few minutes each evening, you and your student will open sealed envelopes with discussion questions that lead to important conversations about the changes that are happening in the life of the student. Let them know you'll be with them through the teenage years.

7th Grade – The BlessingA powerful way to pass down your faith is through ceremonies and symbols. One of thegreatest examples of this is the Jewish Bar Mitzvah/Bat Barakah ceremony: families createan important ceremony for their young teenager where parents, family, and friends offerthe student a spiritual blessing.
8th Grade – Purity WeekendWe live in a society that is saturated by an unhealthy view of sex. Unfortunately, out of fear and awkwardness, many parents shy away from addressing this topic with their student. In this Rite of Passage parents are equipped to take their young teenager away for a weekend of fun and conversations of how much their family values purity.
