Voice Part Rehearsal CD

You will need your vocal score of Handel Messiah.

Go through the score marking the Soprano part with a highlighter.

Insert the disc into your CD player or computer and follow the narrator who will call out when to come in and the bar numbers just in case you get lost.

Sing with the flute following the Soprano part in your vocal score.

Chorus Backing Track CD

Insert the disc into your CD player or computer.

Hear the vocal score represented by instrumental background and mixed choir. For accuracy of pitch the words are not sung but represented by a choir note for each vocal line (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass).

Stand with your vocal score, listen for the Soprano choir note and join in singing the Soprano words.

Congratulations! You can now sing the Soprano part of Handel Messiah.

Visual Learning DVD

Insert the disc into your DVD player or computer.

Select ‘Play All’

Watch the notes and words change in time with the Soprano singer.

Run through several times just listening and enjoying the music.

Select ‘Movement 1’

Work through the Movement learning the words and notice how the ‘pitch’ of the singer reflects each note as it changes.

Select ‘Movement 1’ and switch to ‘Pitch’

Speak the words at the same speed as they change. The flute you hear is playing the correct pitch of the Soprano part notes. Sing the words at the same pitch as the flute.

Select ‘Movement 1’ and switch to ‘Voice’

Sing a duet with the Soprano singer for the whole of Movement 1.

Repeat for all Movements.

Selecting ‘Voice’ (Track 1) and ‘Pitch’ (Track 2)

The ‘Voice’ will play first. To select ‘Pitch’ use the menu controls on your DVD player and the menu options in your computer’s media player.
