Dear Friends,

Our capital campaign is gaining momentum! This is the last week to participate in our matching gift challenge of $600,000. Last week we were able to bring in over $200,000 in new pledges (more than $400,00 with the match)! Please make your commitment today, and be sure to do these things:

• Pray about what contribution you and your family can make

• Answer or return any calls from campaign volunteers you may get

The active phase of our campaign ends in just 5 weeks, so we need every family to participate as soon as possible. So far we have received pledges from ONLY 157 families out of more than 5300 in the parish. Please contact the office if you did not receive any campaign information in the mail. I look for-ward to celebrating the success of this campaign with you soon!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Rev. Eurel Manzano

F R M ! Dear Middle School Parents, I wanted to let all of you know that I have accept-ed a part-time position as a program director for the John Paul II Foundation for Life and Family(www.forlifeandfamily.org). This foundation is an apostolate dedicated to sharing the Church’s teaching on marriage, family, and life issues (with a focus on the theology of Pope Saint John Paul II) with married couples, medical/health profes-sionals, and clergy. Although I will not be working at the parish after October 15th, St. Theresa’s Catholic Church will remain our parish home. It has been a great joy to serve all of our CCE families in the community of St. Theresa since 2005, and I look forward to serving the parish with my family as a volunteer in varying ways in the years to come. Paul Stoessel will assume responsibility for the Middle School CCE program beginning October 16th. Please direct all inquiries regarding Middle School Faith Formation to him via e-mail at [email protected]. Thank you for your continuing support for all of our faith formation opportunities! Saint Theresa, pray for us! Saints Louis and Zelie Martin, pray for us! God love you!

PRAYER OF SPOUSES FOR EACH OTHER

Lord Jesus, grant that my spouse and I may have a true and understanding love for each other. Grant that we

may both be filled with faith and trust. Give us the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. May we always bear with one another’s weaknesses and grow from each oth-er’s strengths. Help us to forgive one another’s failings and grant us patience, kindness, cheer-fullness and the spirit of

placing the well-being of one another ahead of self. May the love that brought us together grow and mature with each

passing year. Bring us both ever closer to You through our love for each other. Let our love grow to perfection, for

You live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
