’The Taking’ is the brand new studio album from Duff McKagan’s Loaded. It is the band’s third studio album and the first to feature new drummer Isaac Carpenter. Duff is best-known for his 13 year stint in Guns’n’Roses, and as a member of supergroup Velvet Revolver, as well as recently briefly being in Jane’s Addiction.

The album features the band’s trademark dynamic hard rock sound. The songs were written over a period of time in late 2009 / early 2010 and the band went into the studio in August 2010 with renowned producer Terry Date (Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Pantera). The result is Loaded’s most accomplished and most hard hitting album to date.

Film maker Jamie Burton Chamberlin has been working with the band on a series of short films relating to each song, which are linked by a narrative to form a continuous movie. These will be used individually online and released in their entirety later in the year. •
