At the top picture there is a heading with very large writing (Idsall voice), this

displays the name of the magazine and which school it is from to anyone who

read’s it. On the left of the large heading is the school logo with its motto of the school, beneath this is a sub heading

showing us which edition of the magazine it is (summer, autumn, winter, and spring).

There is a small title underlined at the top of the page and a medium shot picture of the head teacher representing this is the

head teacher’s message. The medium shot picture of the head teacher shows the top

half of him but also show a lot of the background (this is unusual for a medium

shot), in this case this is because there is a sign behind the head teacher with the

informing the reader that Idsall school is specialist sports college.

The green stripe background at the top of the magazine gives a helps make the magazine stand

out but also gives an impression that this is the iconic colour of the school. By doing this will allow

not only people fro the school but also from different school to know that this magazine is from

idsall.

This is generally just a message from the head teacher to all the staff, pupils and parents. The message consists of how pleased the head

teacher was with the school’s student’s (achievement) and

informing parents and pupils about upcoming changes coming to the

school. This article also has a list of key dates which dates (new term

start dates, Pd days etc).

Below this article there is the main highlight of the school term, it has a fairly large title to emphasize the importance. There are also some pictures to show some visual examples of what happened to back up the writing. Be specific about the images

used – what do they show? What angles have been used? Consider the mise-en-scene of the images.

The images used on the front cover were related to the front cover main article which was also on the

front page and followed on to the next page.

When looking for examples of

magazines I came across an idea to

have some parts of the contents page on the front cover so I decided to use

this on my magazine as it will make it easier for

the audience to see
