Downloading from EZ-Com to PC
Once a borehole survey has been completed by the EZ-Trac, the survey information can then be viewed on the EZ-Com by navigating to the desired survey file.
A permanent copy may also be required and this is done by downloading the survey files to a PC.Nb: The EZ-Com will store a maximum of 200 survey files before it automatically deletes the oldest file as new surveys are performed.
To copy the survey files, the EZ-Com is connected to a PC via a USB cable and will be detected as a drive i.e. E drive.

• Once the EZ-Com has been detected by your PC click My Computer to view the below screen.
• Then click on the EZ-COM (E:) icon.
• The below folders will appear – open the folder that corresponds with the survey type you wish to download to your PC i.e. MULTI.

All survey files in this folder will be displayed and can now be copied or dragged into a designated location on your PC.
Nb: These files can not be opened or viewed without S Process and each survey consists of a .MLH and .mlr file.
Once the surveys are downloaded to the PC they can then be deleted from the EZ-Com.
Running S Process
When S Process is opened ‘Click’ on the ‘Folder’ icon and the below navigation screen will appear
Navigate to the folder that the surveys was copied to (MULTI) and then click on the survey wish to view
Nb: Select ‘ All Surveys’
Once the survey is highlighted click OK

The below Header data will appear – Details can be changed as required.
To view survey results click Result table.
Nb: Magnetic variation can be factored in and more detail on this is in the Operation Manual.

Nb: The data display can be changed by clicking Tools.

When the Preferences screen appears select Table display and tick the information you want displayed on the Results table.
Then click OK.

The below MULTI survey was set to take readings every 6 m to a depth of 24 m.
The quality is very good and this is indicated in the Quality column and also reflected in the Mag.Str column.
In this example the Magnetic Strength is consistent with the Background Magnetism for the area and therefore the Azimuths are consistent.
The Roll Angle indicates that the EZ-Trac was in the same position for all survey stations and the Dip indicates the EZ-Trac was horizontal.
This survey was taken on a bench in a non magnetically affected environment.
Exporting from S Process
To export a survey click on the disk icon and the Export screen will appear.
Highlight the survey and click Continue.

This screen will appear – highlight the data you wish to export. Click Browse to display the navigation screen.
On the navigation screen select a save location and name your file and use .xls as the extension
Click OK.
This will return you to the Export screen – click Export.

The selected survey data will be exported into an excel spreadsheet to the location you chose
Nb: In S Process, no data can be omitted or manipulated – this can only be done after exporting.
Only Magnetic Variation can be adjusted in S Process.
Printing from S Process
To print the survey you must be viewing the survey in Result table – click on the Print icon and the print menu will appear.
Select the desired printing options and click Print.
