OIL SPILL CONTINGENCY PLAN

A l l development and production operations shall be performed in cccordance v l t h industry standards to prevent pollution of the environment. Welter Oil a Gas ;orporation's O i l Spill Contingency Plan has been approved by the MMS. This plan designates an Oil Sp i l l Team consisting of Walter's personnel and contr*ct personnel. This team's duties sre to eliminate the source of sny s p i l l , remove a l l sourcea of possible i g n i t i o n , deploy the most reliable means of available transportation to monitor the movement of a sl i c k , snd contain and remove the slick i f possible.

Walter Oil & Gas Corpcratlon ls a member of Clean Gulf Associates (CGA). CGA has tvo permanent equipment bases In Texas, at Port Aransss Galveston, and fiv e bases ln Louisiana, at Venice, Grand I s l e , Intrscoast. City, Houma and Cameron. Each base l s equipped v i t h fast response skimmers and thire is a barge mounted high volume open sea skimmer bssed at Grand Isle , Louisiana. In addition to providing equipment, the CGA alan supplies advisors for clean-up operations. Equipment available from CGA and the base l t ls located at l s l i s t e d ln the CGA Manual, Volume I , Section I I I .
