To Christchurch

• 8 to 10 days to complete the Wine Trail experience is recommended, 11 to 13 days if you don’t want to miss anything.

•Drive with care on the Rimutaka Hill road from Wairarapa to Wellington and allow plenty of time if you have a specific arrival time.

• If you’re spending a day or two in Wellington then park out of the city and take a train or bus to avoid traffic congestion and

the complex one way system.

•Make sure you have pre-booked your Cook Strait ferry in advance during the busy periods.

• Make sure your camera is fully charged before heading out to explore as the panoramic coastal views, lush native forest and

vineyards in this area provide stunning photo opportunities.

• The 4 day Queen Charlotte Track walk requires a moderate level of fitness. For a short experience of the Track there are

guided walks ranging from 1-5 hours, the most popular being the 5 hour walk from Ship Cove to Furneaux Lodge.

• Hunter’s Garden Marlborough held in November each year brings a lot of outsiders to the area. We recommend you pre-

book your motorhome site to avoid disappointment.
