S-Council Annual Conference 2012

BackgroundSqueezed between recession and recovery, supply chain executives need a brand-new perspective surveying supply chain to achieve optimal efficiency and agility in their networks. From advanced organization structures, to innovative technologies, and optimized planning and operation processes, executives have new ideas and tools at their disposal to achieve supply chain excellence.

Spring 2011 brought signs of economic optimism. But the green shoots of recovery turned out to be less robust than many hoped in 2012. Global commodity and materials costs are rising much more rapidly than consumers' willingness and ability to pay higher prices.

Why Smart Formulation?Being a part of supply chain department, how could everything separate without any chemistry? For a long enough period, we do coordinate with other people & projects but we never truly get involved with them somehow. Some professionals have insights into the fact already: Supply chain management shouldn't be separated. Now we focus on the supply chain function integration and we believe procurement, logistics, trade compliance, operation are highly matters, especially when they involved in the end to end process in every projects and daily operation. The combination and match degree determine what we would bring with, the results. And also we believe a SMART formulation is defined variously by professionals from different corporate, industry and vision.

Ready? Let’s witness what chemistry reaction gonna happen in 2 days!

WHATISYOUR

SMARTFORMULATION?

4 THEMES

WHATISYOUR

SMARTFORMULATION?

Profitable

During the market drowning in red ink, every

company has to face scal restraint, or even

nancial swamp. Supply Chain department works under great pressure of

cutting the budget. “Economical” is the word

which we pay close attention today. Supply

chain exercise more responsibility within the

economic downturn.

Developed

Today, technology plays an important role in the success of supply chain management. One of the biggest benets technology has given to the supply chain concept is the ability for different companies to collaborate under same target. We often hear Could, Green, IOT today. What do they mean for supply chain executives?

Efficient

One of the biggest challenges facing supply

chain executives today is the need to respond to

ever-increasing levels of volatility in demand. For a

variety of reasons product and technology lifecycles

are shortening, competitive pressures

force more frequent product changes and consumers demand

greater variety than ever before.

Anti-Risk

With the development of world multi-polarization and economic globalization, the risk, which supply chain faces, becomes more and more unforeseen and complex. Fortunately, corporate and private have been continuously exploring a series of methodology about risk management.
