Attendance … Every Day Counts

Did you know that:

If your child has missed 5 days or less this school year.

This will support your child to achieve their best at school – academically and personally.

If your child has missed more than 10 days this school year.

The amount of time your child is missing will impact on their learning and their friendships.

If your child has missed more than 15 days this school year.

Your child is missing so much time from school that it will be extremely difficult for them to keep up with their learning, their friendships and to feel connected to school.

A reminder that all holiday absences require an Absence Learning Plan, developed with your child’s teacher and signed by the Principal or Assistant Principal to cover your child’s absence.

Fundraising News

Easter Raffle Thank you to our families and friends who purchased Easter Raffle tickets and / or who

donated Easter goodies to form up the Easter Raffle prizes. This Fundraising activity has raised just over $2,000 for our school. Fundraising activities work hand in hand with our school’s ICT budget to provide our kids with iPads, laptops and other technologies.

Exford PS Sports & Election Day BBQs – can you help, please? Our next two Fundraising efforts involve BBQs –

• BBQ lunch at our Year 3-6 Sports Day on Friday 17 May

• Planned BBQ on Election Day – Saturday 18 May at Exford

Our 2019 target is…

$18,000 - $25,000.

Our Tally so far… $2,500.00

Exford PS Election Day BBQ Exford PS will be a polling booth for the Federal Election on Saturday 18 May and this will be a chance to raise funds for our school from outside our school community. We raised approx. $800 on the State Election Day – it’s too good an opportunity to pass up!

We are asking for helpers to come and do one or two hour shifts to help us with this BBQ, no qualifications needed!

Shifts:

• 10:30 - 11:30 am * 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

• 12:30 - 1:30 pm * 1:30 - 2:30 pm

• 2:30 - 3:30 pm * 3:30 - 4:30 pm If you could email Ms Killeen on [email protected] to let us know if you can help and your preferred times?

Exford PS Trivia Night We will be holding a Trivia Night fundraising activity on Saturday 25 May at the Mt Cottrell Bowls Club (7 – 11 pm). We will send out information about this evening – but we are seeking donations to use for prizes. Please contact our School Council President through FlexiBuzz or on [email protected] if you are able to help with donations.
