…A Message from our Pastor …Dear Friends,

This weekend we have begun printing the Sunday Bulletin once again. Since we are still in the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic, we will not be leaving extra copies of the bulletin in the vestibule of the church. Please be sure to grab a copy of the bulletin from one of the ushers on your way out church, or you can also view it on our parish website: www.stbrigidrcc.org. The bulletin and our parish website and social media pages will continue to be the places where we will keep you updated with what is going on in our parish.

This week, the Church offers us two beautiful opportunities to pray for those "who have gone before us with the sign of faith" (Eucharistic Prayer I: The Roman Canon). Today, November 1st, we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, the day in which the Church remembers and prays for all those who have attained heaven. Tomorrow, November 2nd, we celebrated the Feast of All Souls, the day in which we remember all the dead who are in purgatory. I hope you will be able to join us here at St. Brigid tomorrow as we remember our beloved dead. We will celebrate Mass in English at 8:45am and in Spanish at 7:00pm. Depending on the number of people who come, if there is a need for a second Spanish Mass in the lower church tomorrow evening, that Mass will begin at 7:15pm. The same intentions will be announced upstairs and downstairs. If you have not had a chance to request a Mass Intention for November 2nd, there will be someone in the vestibule this weekend after all the Masses with the Mass Book to assist you. The final opportunity to request a Mass Intention for November 2nd will be November 1st, after the 12:30pm Mass.

Our Guadalupe Group has begun its preparations for this year's Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Considering the thousands of people who typically attend the Guadalupe Celebrations, and considering that we need to follow social distancing and keep the 25% capacity requirement, we have decided that all the Guadalupe Event this year will be ticketed events. We will have 200 tickets for each event, and we will distribute those tickets via a Raffle. Starting next weekend, members of the St. Brigid Guadalupe Group will be at the doors of the church with the Guadalupe Raffle Tickets. The Raffle is free, and only one ticket per person is allowed. Beginning on November 9th, you can also visit the rectory to obtain a Guadalupe Raffle Ticket. On December 1st at 7:30pm, we will live-stream the drawing and announce the winners who will receive a ticket that will admit them to one of the Guadalupe Celebrations. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, patience, and understanding with all of this. We are trying our best to ensure that we can celebrate and honor Our Lady while ensuring that our church continues to be a safe place of prayer. If you have any questions, please speak to any member of the Guadalupe Group.

Regarding meetings of parish groups and ministries: I am happy to announce that beginning November 9th, we will begin allowing parish groups and ministries to have in-person meetings in the church and the lower church. In order to keep the children of our Catholic Academy safe, the school and the auditorium remain closed to the public, but we will once again open up the church and the lower church for the parish groups that meet regularly. I ask the leaders of the various parish groups to please contact Fr. Joseph this week to confirm the weekly schedule. All groups will be asked to clean and sanitize the space they use each time it is used. The parish has purchased masks, gloves, a fogging machine, rags, and other disinfecting products to help everyone clean the spaces they use and ensure that it's disinfected and ready to be used by the next group. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this new policy. I am sure all of our parish groups and ministries will be very excited to begin meeting again. If anyone still does not feel comfortable coming to a meeting or a prayer group in person, please do not feel obligated to do so.

Please continue to keep in your prayers our 150 young people confirmed by Bishop Chappetto last Saturday. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and strengthen their lives of faith.

…Un Mensaje de nuestro Párroco… Queridos Hermanos,

Este fin de semana hemos vuelto a comenzar a imprimir el Boletín Dominical. Como todavía seguimos viviendo esta pandemia del coronavirus, no dejaremos copias adicionales del boletín en el vestíbulo de la iglesia. Asegúrese de obtener una copia del boletín de uno de los Ministros de Hospitalidad cuando vaya saliendo de Misa, o también puede verlo en la pagina web de nuestra parroquial: www.stbrigidrcc.org. El Boletín, la pagina web, y las páginas de las redes sociales de la parroquia continuarán siendo los lugares donde los mantendremos actualizados con lo que está sucediendo en nuestra parroquia.

Esta semana, la Iglesia nos ofrece dos hermosas oportunidades para orar por aquellos "que nos han precedido con el signo de la fe" (Oración Eucarística I: El Canon Romano). Hoy, el 1 de noviembre, celebramos la Solemnidad de Todos Los Santos, el día en que la Iglesia recuerda y reza por todos aquellos que han alcanzado el cielo. Mañana, el 2 de noviembre, celebramos la Festividad de Todas Las Almas, el día en que recordamos a todos los muertos que están en el purgatorio. Espero que puedan unirse a nosotros aquí en Santa Brigida mañana mientras recordamos a nuestros queridos difuntos. Celebraremos Misa en inglés a las 8:45am y en español a las 7:00pm. Dependiendo del número de personas que asistan, si se necesita una segunda Misa en español en la iglesia de abajo mañana por la noche, esa Misa comenzará a las 7:15pm. Las mismas intenciones se anunciarán arriba y abajo. Si no ha tenido la oportunidad de solicitar una intención de Misa para el 2 de noviembre, habrá alguien en el vestíbulo de la iglesia este fin de semana después de todas las Misa con el Libro de Misas para ayudarles a apartar la intención. La última oportunidad para solicitar una intención de Misa para el 2 de noviembre será el 1 de noviembre, después de la Misa de las 12:30 pm.

Nuestro Grupo Guadalupano ha comenzado sus preparativos para la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de este año. Teniendo en cuenta las miles de personas que suelen asistir a las Celebraciones Guadalupanas en nuestra parroquia y considerando que tenemos que guardar el distanciamiento social y mantener el requisito de capacidad del 25%, hemos decidido que la entrada a la iglesia para todas las Celebraciones Guadalupanas 2020 serán con boleto solamente, que se repartirán a través de un Sorteo. Habrán 200 boletos por evento. A partir del próximo fin de semana, los miembros del Grupo Guadalupano de Santa Brígida estarán en las puertas de la iglesia con los Boletos de la Rifa Guadalupana. La rifa es gratuita y solo se permite un boleto por persona. A partir del 9 de noviembre, también pueden visitar la rectoría para obtener un boleto de la Rifa Guadalupana. El 1 de diciembre a las 7:30pm, transmitiremos en vivo el sorteo y anunciaremos a los ganadores que recibirán un boleto que los admitirá a una de las Celebraciones Guadalupanas. Gracias de antemano por su cooperación, paciencia y comprensión con todo esto. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible para asegurarnos de que podamos celebrar y honrar a Nuestra Madre mientras nos aseguramos de que nuestra iglesia continúe siendo un lugar seguro de oración. Si tiene alguna pregunta, hable con cualquier miembro del Grupo Guadalupano.

Con respecto a las reuniones de los grupos y ministerios parroquiales: Con mucha alegría les anuncio que a partir del 9 de noviembre, comenzaremos a permitir que los grupos y ministerios parroquiales tengan reuniones en persona en la iglesia principal y en la iglesia de abajo. Para mantener seguros a los niños de nuestra Academia Católica, la escuela y el auditorio permanecerán cerrados al público, sin embargo vamos a abrir la iglesia principal y la iglesia de abajo para los grupos parroquiales que se reúnen regularmente. Pido a los líderes de los distintos grupos parroquiales que se pongan en contacto con el Padre Joseph esta semana para confirmar el horario semanal. A todos los grupos se les pedirá que limpien y desinfecten el espacio que usan cada vez que lo usen. La parroquia ha comprado máscaras, guantes, una máquina nebulizadora, trapos y otros productos desinfectantes para la limpieza de los espacios que se usan. Tenemos que asegurarnos de que todos los espacios estén desinfectados y listos para ser usados por el siguiente grupo. Gracias de antemano por su cooperación con todo esto. Estoy seguro de que todos nuestros grupos y ministerios parroquiales estarán muy emocionados de comenzar a reunirse nuevamente. Si alguien todavía no se siente cómodo asistiendo a una reunión o a un grupo de oración en persona, no se sienta obligado a hacerlo.

Les pido que continúen manteniendo en sus oraciones a nuestros 150 jóvenes quienes fueron confirmados por el Monseñor Chappetto el sábado pasado. Que el Espíritu Santo continúe guiando y fortaleciendo sus vidas de fe.
