The section provides and facilitates
skills training for vulnerable individ-
uals and groups of society.
The skills training aims at empow-
ering these individuals with income
generating skills with the aim of
establishing viable and sustainable
business ventures leading towards
self-reliance.
The line of training is dependent
upon the beneficiary’s choice e.g.
food preservation, sewing, bakery,
blacksmith, art, pottery, basketry,
textile crafts etc
Home Economics also entails en-
listing beneficiaries of S & CD re-
lief programmes, such as Desti-
tute Persons, CHBC and Orphan
Care, in a participatory process
aimed at empowering and restor-
ing individuals, families and
groups’ functional level through
change of attitude by engaging in
sustainable social and economic
activities.
SKILLS TRAINING
MARKETING REHABILITATION
The section aims at exposing
small scale producers to local and
international markets. The prod-
uct should be able to withstand
market demands (the project
should be feasible and sustaina-
ble)
Products are promoted through
regional shows and international
fairs.
POVERTY ERADICATION
The section is responsible for
implementing the poverty eradi-
cation projects( Bakery, Fashion
& Design, Food Catering & Hair
Salon)
