WARNING: Because S508 doesn’t have metal shell, so make sure the plug has the ground wire!

Repetier Host is used for S508 3D printer(0.90C is the latest version, but 0.83 version is recommended if it is your first installation).

1. Install USB drive first

Printer electrify—connect printer with PC using cable USB.FT232R will not be found the first you use it.

Notes: it will auto-install on Win7 systemXP system

Install device: unzip file we provide you, find the folder “FTDI USB Drivers”

Set temperature according to material ABS or PLA

Reference temp：ABS extruder: 200 hot bed: 80~100PLA extruder: 160 hot bed: 55~60

According to the printer which you buy to choose the printing size Z605:200*200*200mm

CONNECT TO PCFirst, make sure that the machine is correctly assembled, the extruder fan will work after connecting to the electric socket,the red light up.Second, connect printer to computer. Normally, the fan will stop rotating , but will restart about 6 seconds later.

Waiting for the transferring to be completed

It means connection is successful

CONNECTIONTry to move XYZ axis through software, to check the movement direction is correct or not.

Calibration and commissioning1. Manual move X,Y,Z axis, make sure they can move smoot

hly and don’t make noise.

2. Adjust the screw at each corner to make hot bed flat

3. Set the distance between extruder and hot bed the same as the thickness of A4 paper

4. You can print after debugging has completed

GENERATE G CODE

1.Click“activate”button, choose “PLA3MM” file

2.Click “start to generate Slic3r”, following dialog box will appear

3.This dialog box will disappear after done

HEAT EXTRUDER and HOT BED

Pre-heat hot bed before generae G code, then heat extruder

RUN

Click “run” when it reaches to specified temp, or wait for generation G-code complete, printer will auto start when it reaches to specified temp

START TO PRINT

You can enjoy your first 3D printing trip, when XYZ axis back to the start NOTICES: Click on run, the machine will heat hot bed to required temp,

Then extruder will be heated, it may take few minutes or longer, please be patient(when hot bed is heated, the red light is bright)

NOTICES

1. PC do not set into energy saving mode, because it may cause failure2. Choose ”Device manager”——“USB controller”——”USB root hub”——right click——click “attributes”——remove the “√ ”

MAINTENANCE

1.Maintain XYZ bar: If there is noise and unusual shaking during printing, you need to clear the slide bar. The diameter of the slide bar is 8mm, make sure it slides smoothly without any shaking. Lubricating oil can help to clear the slide bar to reduce friction and minimize the wear and between annular tubes and slide bar. 2.Plastic consumables dissolve under high temperatures. And easily plasticize again when cooled. You can use iron wire to drain the nozzle if there is any blockage. We suggest your clear all surplus material after finishing printing work

3D printer does not need special maintenance. It can print for long work hours. Mechanical parts that undergo frequent use will have fair wear and tear.

MAINTENANCE The tension of the strap: strap should fit with the other parts of the machine, to reduce the stress on the motor shaft and pulley. To check if the strap is too tight, turn the pulley and listen for unusually loud sounds, if there are, loosen the strap. To check if the strap is too loose, rotate the motor shaft, it is the correct tension if the hot bed is symmetrical when moving back and forth. It is too loose if the platform takes longer to move back. Another test method is to download cylindrical date. If one side is flat, the corresponding strap is too loose.
