APPLICATION PROCESS The typical epoxy floor coating requires thorough surface prep and application of primer in addition to the application of topcoat. Surface prep requires the COMPLETE elimination of oils and other contaminants. This is a difficult, time consuming and expensive procedure. SOMAY-Q is LOWEST COST.

The paint molecules are round in shape because of surface tension. Because of the round shape, there is 1 contact point with the substrate.

Adhesion is stronger because there are 2 points of contact instead of 1.

How can this be done? SOMAY-Q chemically weakens surface tension so that the shape of the molecules becomes oval.

Adhesion is many times stronger because a substantial portion of the molecule is making contact with the substrate.

CAUTION When there is “cancer” on the concrete floor. Some examples of cancer: ・Excessive amounts of old oils mixed with contaminated particulates. ・Very old or worn concrete with excessive powdering. ・Poor condition of previously applied floor coating CANCER APPLICATION PROCESS ・Apply SOMAY-Q over the entire concrete floor. ・Delamination will occur in a limited area only where there is cancer. But this delamination is not due to SOMAY-Q. Instead it will delaminate at the original coating or concrete beneath SOMAY-Q. This means that SOMAY-Q delaminated the cancer. And now the cancer is gone. ・Re-apply SOMAY-Q as touch up. ・Now it’s fixed, and cancer is gone. ・This is the LOWEST COST method.
