Led a team of 5 Electrical Technicians working with Derrick Services on the replacement of the top-drive system to the Derrick. Team Supervision

Supervisory responsibility for the team, including coordination, delegation, performance and safety.

Prioritised, planned and monitored daily workflow, working to Permit to Work system.

Ensured the timely provision and on-site availability of correct and certified equipment and materials.

Accommodated the roles and needs of corresponding disciplines to synchronise activities.

Conducted Risk Assessments and delivered Toolbox Talks and ensured team adherence to Method Statements.

Electrical Operations

Deconstruction of all systems to existing top drive and installation of: - new cabling and associated junction boxes and control panels to new top drive;

- cabling from new SCR to VFD panels, gland and terminate, working alongside Bentech Engineers;

- new shaker system including inverters, motors and stop/start points;

- new HPU and associated motor controls.

- HVAC motors (involving altering wiring) junction boxes, cable tray and ladder rack as required.

Testing of all HV, LV and IS cables before final termination, and pre-commissioning installation.

Marathon Oil East Brae platforms

Personally requested to leverage expertise to carry out a specialist assignment in between rotations on the Beryl Bravo, to replace an HV junction box on the lift pump motor assisted by the Rig Electrician and working with the Rigging Team to lift out the 90kg box

Technician Isolation and lock-off of motor circuit from MCC.

Deconstruction of containment leading to HV junction box; removal of corroded box and associated cabling.

Replacement of junction box; re-glanding and terminating mains cable; testing cable and de-isolating circuit.
