Introdut!on.
The following rubrics are designed to evaluate learning outcomes concerning clear and effective communication through
oral presentations and participation in class activities or discussions. The rubrics include specific criterion with four grading
scales. The expected results are that the student perform at least at ‘SU""ICIENT# for college students enrolled in
sophomore and junior years; and at least $IMPROVABLE# for senior year college students. However students will be asked
to get better results if the course content requires a better outcome. Therefore dvanced !ommunication in "nglish should
require a# ‘OUTSTANDING# result. $ost%graduate students are required to have at least ‘IMPROVABLE# results up to the
point that they are ‘OUTSTANDING# before the development stage of their Thesis& pplication $roject& or 'octora
'issertation.

specific topic before a general audience.

time.
