SOCIO ECONOMIC IMPACTS : Ensured livelihood to thousands of families raising their income from Rs 300-400 per month to Rs 10,000 - 30,000 per month. Generates direct employment @ 1,000 mandays per ha during immature phase. In mature phase, year round job ensured for 70 persons per 100 ha.

RUBBER UNDER IWMP IN TRIPURA
Rubber plantation was introduced in IWMP during 2010-11
Presently an area of 805.93 ha. and 641 no. of beneficiaries
is under Rubber plantation of IWMP.
Financial assistance @ Rs. 75,270/- per hectare has been
provided from IWMP to the beneficiaries on an average.
Intercropping has been done with crops like Banana,
Papaya, Turmeric, Ginger etc. to generate subsidiary income
during the initial years.
