Mission: Fulfil the objectives ofthe Right to Education Act, 2009to ensure every child has theopportunity to access high qualityeducation.
PROBLEM:
Te Right of Children to Free and CompulsoryEducation Act, 2009 was monumental in thatit declared education as a fundamental rightof every child in the age group of 6 to 14 years.Te Act lays down guidelines and norms for thestates and educational institutions to fulfil thisobjectives. However, majority of the provisionsof the Act still remain unfulfilled. Our worksuggests that significant reasons for this include: Parents unaware of their childs rights Schools unaware of the guidelines in the Act Lack of resources of Govt, schools to enforce
the provisions.
OUR SOLUTIONUniversity students as Social Change Makers toachieve the objective of quality education for all.
OUR MODEL
Establish RE Resource Centers (RRC) inall institutes of higher learning includingmanagement, engineering, law and socialsciences. Resource centers to be led by student bodies
both as a voluntary activity and as part ofacademic projects RRC to serve as a platform to bring together
Government, Schools, Parents and communitybased organizations to ensure quality educationto all no longer remains a dream
