General features MCON-232 module is a component of the Ampio Smart Home systemand is designed to convert the transmission from devices equipped with RS232 port to CAN-Bus standard. Module is controlled via CAN-Bus. Required voltage to power the module is 11-16V DC. The device is equipped with RS232 connector, CAN bus connector, and two LED indicators, green and red. The green LED indicates the status of CAN communication one regular flash every 1 sec. - CAN-Bus communication in order two regular flashes every 1 sec. - module is not receiving information from other SmartHome modules three regular flashes every 1 sec. - module cannot send information to CAN-Bus The red LED indicates transmission via RS232 port. The module provides integration of any device equipped with RS232serial port with the Ampio Smart Home system. These include air conditioning units, recuperators, home audio systems, TV, home alarms etc. Software Its multi-functionality is the reason why MCON-232 module is one of very few devices which do not update automatically. Software is uploaded manually by choosing correct program file. Dedicated software is identified by its filename with the syntax mostly compatible with naming standards assumed for updates of Ampio Smart Home devices. The only difference is that last two digits of the software version specify its purpose. The filename template interpretation is as follows:: ampio_TXXX_PYYY_SZZZTT.amp XXX device type, 25 for MCON devices; YYY hardware version; ZZZ software version; TT software purpose.
