CONCEPT Visually Branch- ing Narrative: Little Squares Artist statement: I mainly took this style of doing the project because after assessing the rest of class I noticed every one was just doing the tabletop games or card games. Everyone also was drawn to this need to pin two people against each other. Some of the responses in the dis- cussion were like “we are American we like competition” which I thought was very amusing. In the end I just wanted a game of solitariness where a person just sits there and focuses on the problem at hand. Objective: A player must fill the grid with colored squares after shuffling the stack of squares and placing one ran- domly on the grid. The problem is getting the squares to match up accord to rules. The rules are based off of the colors of the little squares so that they can’t be placed ran- domly on the grid. Rules: 1. Shuffle the stack of cards and place the first square randomly on the grid 2. On each side of the every square there is a different color. You can only have the matching color touch that side of the square making 4 squares total that touch each square. 3. Some squares will have two colors list on a side indicating that may choose between those colors on that side. 4 . You must have similar colors separated by 2 spaces at least
