Application The RPT Safe Change Housing is areliable duct housing for the removalof Radioactive, Pathogenic and Toxiccontaminants. It can be suppliedwith a single or double stagefiltration system, consisting of asingle HEPA filter or a HEPA filterwith a prefilter. Typical areas ofapplication include the healthcare,pharmaceutical, microelectronic andnuclear industries as well asbiochemical laboratories. The unitcan be used for vertical downflow orhorizontal airflow.

SafetyThe RPT Housing is designed tofacilitate safe removal of contamina-ted filters and to minimize the risk ofhazardous particulate escaping intothe immediate environment. To thisend the housing is equipped with afully enclosed bag system into whichthe filter is placed for safe disposal.

Filter InstallationTo guarantee a truly leaktight systemthe HEPA filter is clamped against asealing frame with a maintenance-free positive locking mechanism,operated with a single lever; theprefilter is installed by pushing thesupport frame upwards.

Filter ReplacementFilter removal is done by opening theservice hatch, extending thepolyethylene bag and removing thecontaminated filter from the housinginto the bag, which is secured to thebag flange at the opening.

Space Saving DesignThe RPT housing is compact andmodular in design. To cater for highair volumes, modules may beinstalled side by side up to amaximum of 5 units in single ordouble row formation or,alternatively, one on top of the other.

Sturdy, Reliable Construction The standard unit is made of mildreinforced steel coated with epoxywhite paint. It can be operated at anoverpressure of up to 2500 Papositive and 3000 Pa negative. Theupper operating temperature limit is60˚C. Differential pressure measuringpoints are located in both theprefilter and mainfilter sections.
