PID‐Test
For the PID‐Test the module’s glass surface is covered with aluminum foil and exposed to a high negative potential of ‐1,000 V at 25° C for the duration of 168 hours. This arrangement simulates a module’s active life of a few years in only seven days. Prior to this treatment, the modules' electrical perfomance is measured at STC, as well as an electroluminescence image is captured, and the same measurements are repeated after the potential exposition. The comparison of the mesurement results gives information about the modules' sensitivity to PID.
