Surat to Gladstone Pipeline, QLD

RPS managed the environmental impact assessment, including specialist studies, in support of regulatory approvals for the 470km long gas transmission pipeline proposed from the Surat Basin to Gladstone to transport coal seam gas to a planned liquefied natural gas plant.

Abbot Point Coal Terminaland Missing Link GAP50 railexpansion, QLD

RPS is providing extensive and often complex surveying services to assist in the expansion of the Abbot Point coal terminal to 50 mtpa and the missing railway link from Goonyella. These multi-billion dollar projects will double export capacity through the terminal by mid 2012.

Airport Link, QLD

RPS is the principal urban designer and landscape architect for Airport Link in Brisbane, Australia’s largest PPPs and one of the nation’s largest road infrastructure projects. Responsibilities included the design of key urban design elements such as portals, noise barriers and retaining walls as well as extensive parklands, wetlands and linear open space corridors. RPS also provided extensive pre-design survey services for the project route.

Perth to Mandurah Railway, WA

As principal environmental consultant to the Public Transport Authority, RPS provided environmental impact assessment of the proposed rail alignment and preliminary site investigations. From 2004 until project completion, RPS was the specialist environmental service provider for the New MetroRail City Project which included environmental auditing.

Powerlink Transmission Lines and Substations, QLD

RPS’ extensive surveys for Powerlink involved establishing 60m wide line easements utilising static RTK GPS and conventional surveying methodologies for the setout of substation infrastructure. Transmission line projects require RPS to deliver endorsed survey plans across numerous properties and crossing plans for community infrastructure designation and native title purposes.

Floods and Cyclone Yasi recovery, QLD

RPS surveyors and environmental consultants are part of a regional project team providing extensive Queensland-wide assistance with the repair and rebuilding of roads damaged by the January 2011 floods and Tropical Cyclone Yasi.

Sydney’s Desalination Project, NSW

RPS provided a range of services to Sydney Water and private sector construction companies through the planning, procurement and early construction of the $1.8 billion project. Services included community engagement, project positioning and stakeholder engagement, creative and bid services, environmental impact assessment and environmental management.
