do not attempt to force the pressure cooker open when the indicator has risen.
3. saFety ValVeIf the regulator is allowed to become blocked andpressurecontinuestorise,asafetyvalvewillimmediatelyrelease excess steam and reduce the temperatureinside the cooker. In this event, immediately turn offthe heat source and wait for the steam to stop. Thepressurecookerhastobecooleddownbyplacingitinacontainerofcoldwateruntiltheindicatorgoesdown.Whentheredindicatorhasgonedown,youwillbeabletoopenyourpressurecookersafely.Beforereusingyourpressure cooker, clean the regulator as advised in themaintenancesection.
4. PRessuRe Release wiNdowIfintheveryunlikelyeventthesafety valve fails to function,a pressure release windowon the side of the cover willautomatically activate twoadditional safety devices tosafelyventthesteam.

Yourpressurecookeriscompatiblewithalltypesofcooktopsinusetoday.
•Ifyouuseagascooktop,theflameshouldnotextendfurtherthanthebaseofthepressurecooker.
•Ifyouuseanyotherheatsource,makesure that thediameterof theplate is smaller thanorequal to thebaseofthepressurecooker.
•Ifyouuseaninductioncooktop,makesurethatyourpressure cooker is in the middle of the heat zonemarkedontheplate.
• Never put your pressure cooker in an oven.• Never use aluminum foil or plastic film in the pressure
cooker. this may obstruct the regulator or the safety valve.

Turnthecovercounterclockwiseuntilthearrowsonthecoverandthehandleslineup,andthenliftoffthelid.
2. BeFoRe use
Beforeusingyourpressurecookerforthefirsttime,besuretowashitthoroughly.Add1/4cupofvinegartohotsoapywater,andwithaspongeordishcloth,washeachpiece.
3. oPeRatiNg tHe lid
Make sure thegasket is right sideupandcorrectlypositionedinthecover by following the diagrambelow.
Turntheswitchtothe“Open”Position.
Place the lidon thepressurecookersothat the trianglesmarkedon the lidarealignedwiththehandlesonthepot.
Turn the cover clockwise all theway to the stop such that thehandleslineup.

4. FilliNg tHe PRessuRe CookeR
Neverfillthepressurecookermorethantwothirdsfull.For certain foods, lettuce, spinach, lentils, etc.,whichexpandorcausethewatertofrothwhencooking,donotfillpressurecookermorethanonethirdfull.

•Pouratleastacupofwaterintoyourpressurecooker.
•Thefoodinthesteamermustnotbestandinginwater.
•Theregulatorshouldbeinposition2.
•Whileyouarecookingyoushouldmakesurethattheregulator gives off a continual hissing sound,whichmeansthatthereissufficientliquid.
6. CookiNg
•Positiontheregulatorsothatarrowispointingtowardsspeeds1or2andthenpressitdown.
•Ifyouusesalt,dissolvefirstusingaspoon.
•SelectthepositionyouwishtocookatbyswitchingtoPosition1(slowcooking)orPosition2(quickcooking).
•Placethepressurecookerontheheatsource(whichshould be turned up as high as possible unless therecipespecificallystatesotherwise).Never put your pressure cooker in an oven.
•Asaresultofthepressuretheindicatorwillriseandcausetheswitchtolock.
• When the steam escapes from the regulator,accompaniedbyamildhissingnoise,startyourtimer.You can turn down the heat, making sure you canalwayshearahissingnoise.Cookingtimewillbejustasquickandyouwillsaveonenergy.
•if you notice anything irregular in the functioning of your pressure cooker, remove it from the heat source, cool it down by immersing it in a container of cold water, and consult the chapter entitled “PRoBleMs aNd solutioNs”
7. settiNg tHe tiMeR
•Remove the timer by applying slight pressure to thetexturedpartofthetimerbelowthedisplay.Thiswillcausethetimertorotateinitshousingallowingyoutograspandremoveit.Neverleavethetimeronthelidwhilecooking.
•Press the timer button briefly to advance the timeminutebyminute.Pressthetimerbuttonandholdtoadvancethetimefaster.
•To cancel or stop the timer, press the timer buttonfor3seconds toreset it tozero. The timerwillstopautomaticallyafterafewsecondsofinactivity.

8. deCoMPRessioN
Assoonasyouhavefinishedcooking:
•Turnofftheheatsource.
•If the pressure cooker is in position 2, switch it toposition1.
•Cool off your pressure cooker forat least 1minuteby immersing itinacontainerofcoldwaterbeforeremovingtheregulator.
•Wait until the pressure indicatorhasgonedown.
if the indicator doesn’t go down, don’t force the pressure cooker open, but rather continue to cool it off by immersing it again.
•Positiontheswitchon“open”,turnthehandleandremovethelid.
•Tomove the pressure cooker, use only the handles.Do not tip the pressure cooker; it contains very hotliquid.

1. CleaNiNg aFteR use
It isbestnot to leavefoodinthepressurecookeraftercooking.Theacidityofcertainfoodsmaydamageanddiscolorthestainlesssteel.
Washthepressurecookerinhotsoapywateraftereveryusewith a soft cloth or sponge. The pressure cookershouldneverbecleanedwithanabrasiveorchlorinatedproductsuchasbleach.Iftherearecalciumdepositsonthepressurecooker,boilwaterwithvinegarand rinsecarefully.
Never put the lid or the gasket in the dishwasher.
Never put the timer in the dishwasher or run under water.
Remove thegasket from thecoverandcarefullycleanboth in hot, soapy water after every use. Annualreplacementofthesealisrecommended.
Remove the regulator from itssocketandcleanregulator(1)
and regulator socket (2) aftereveryuse.
Clean the valve indicator aftereveryuse.
Ifresidualmatterisobstructingthefilterofthevalveortheregulator,removethemwiththehelpofaneedle.
Washthetimerwithasoftdrycloth.Donotuseasolvent,donotpassunderwaterorinthedishwasher.

Whenstoringyourpressurecooker, remove thegasketand place it in the bottom of the cooker, turn the lidupsidedownandplaceonthepressurecooker.do not leave the gasket on the lid.

Intheorderlisted:
•Turnofftheheatsourceimmediately.
•Cooldownyourpressurecookerbyimmersingitinacontainerofcoldwaterforatleast1minute.
•Takeofftheregulator(theindicatorshouldgodown).
•Iftheindicatordoesnotgodown,donotattempttoopenthepressurecooker.Immerseitagaininacontainerofcoldwateruntiltheindicatorgoesdown.
•Oncetheregulatorhasgonedown,openyourpressurecookerandexaminetheregulator;
-Ifitisdirty,cleanitandwhereitfitsontothepressurecooker.Youcanthenstartusingyourpressurecookeragain.Iftheproblempersists,contacttheRoyalPrestigeServiceCenter.
-Ifitisclean,returnyourpressurecookerimmediatelytotheRoyalPrestigeServiceCenter.
Mypressurecookerwasheatedempty.
•Turnofftheheatsourceandletthepressurecookercooldownwhereitisonthehotplate.Donotmoveit,orthebasediffusermaybedamaged.
•WeadviseyoutochangethesealofthelidandhaveyourpressurecookercheckedbytheRoyalPrestigeServiceCenter.

•Turnoffthepowersource.
