This is a very stout heifer that has both eye appeal for the show ring and brood cow written all over her. Her maternal brother City Lights Showtime 101Y was champion bull at the 2012 Showdown in Lindsey, ON; between these two siblings they prove that this family has what it takes to produce quality.
This calf is a show stopper. Pay attention here because she’s got the look that’s going to get any judge’s attention. This moderate framed, streamlined heifer is nice fronted and has plenty of hip. She profi les beautifully, she has that heads up look about her, and she moves out well. This jewel is out of the champion Queen family. Her dam is the 2009 RAWF Senior Champion Yearling, and is full sister to the 2006 Supreme Champion Heifer at the National Heifer Show. This family is known for their champions, see Lot #13 for more details. This heifer will make a great 4-H project and a great prospect for the junior yearling class. She is functional, yet showy and comes from a proven family.

Here is an opportunity that has not been had before! Embryos out of Hawthorne Queen 1R, the 2006 Supreme Champion National Heifer. 1R caught everyone’s attention when she was slapped Supreme Champion at the 2006 RAWF National Junior Heifer Show. Today her stylish elegance still prevails, and in her progeny as well. Hawthorne Queen 17Y (Brilliance) was the top selling Angus at the 2011 Elite Breed Sale at the RAWF, selling for $5900. In 2010, another daughter, Hawthorne Queen 6W (Fullback) was named the Supreme Champion Heifer at both Beef Expo and Youth Forum. This heifer then went on to be the Reserve Champion Angus at the National Junior Heifer Show. Both of these heifers are full sibs to the embryos selling. And the list continues - in 2009, a full sib to 1R, Clair Lane Miss Strawberry 1U, was named the Senior Champion Yearling Female at the RAWF. Full sib, Clair Lane Gladiator 3X sold for $3500 to Crossland Angus at the 2011 Angus Futurity Sale. And most recently, Hawthorne Queen 9Y, owned by Denver Bolton was slapped the Reserve Grand Champion Owned Heifer at the 2012 Canadian Junior Angus Show. Queen 9Y is a Fullback out of a full sib to Queen 1R. This donor’s pedigree speaks volumes. Her cool fronted, super stylish progeny are the only proof needed. This heifer is from a cow family that can get it done. The grand dam and great grand dam of 5Z have each produced a high seller at Futures’ One and both went to the good people at Mountain Rd Simmentals and Clayton Snider. Her productive black blaze-faced dam raised our heaviest heifer in her fi rst try and this is her second project. Zinga is a soggy, deep-fl anked heifer that is full of meat and muscle. Buckeye builds them right with extra hip, moderate frame and level top. She is extremely easy-doing and will go on to be one of those cows that out-produce themselves every year. Maybe not the most fl ashy heifer, but one that will be in the running as your most productive.
The standout and heavyweight of the 2012 heifer calf crop! Madison has the performance, style, structure, eye-appeal and pedigree to move your program forward. These embryoes will be the only service to the Convincer bull in Canada. A bull this was intelligently selected by Rob & Stephanie French for their elite operation.
