Create your own Lichtenstein inspired artwork!

•  Research & Brainstorm• Students take a selfie or photo of each other• Students edit the photo by turning it black & white and print it

• Students outline major lines of the body/face on white drawing paper (looks like a contour line drawing)

• Students write a positive message and draw a word cloud around it

Create your own Lichtenstein inspired artwork!

• Students create a Lichtenstein “dot matrix” by dipping a pencil eraser in damp (red, yellow, orange) damp watercolor paint and stamping it onto the skin and/or create a background pattern 

• Students paint the rest of the picture with watercolor paint

• After the painting dries, students retrace black lines with a permanent marker to make them bolder and add detail lines
