Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland in Finland, located at the northern Arctic Circle. Altought Christmas time comes but once a year, in Rovaniemi you can experience Christmas throughtout the year. of tourism services Ideal location in the junction of two rivers and on the border
between north and south Rovaniemi market was an important event for locals, travellers
and traders in early 20th century Tourism started to grow in 1980s when the first charter flights
landed to Rovaniemi airport Christmas tourism started and was soon bigger than other
seasons Regular growth in amount of tourists since 1990s, except in
2001-2002 These days in Christmas is fully booked
Growth is needed in other seasons, especially in summer
