GDS Car ServiceBooking Instructions

Below are sample bookings of a round trip flight from JFK to LHR with chauffeur driven car service using Sabre, Worldspan, Amadeus and Apollo.

Please enter car service requests for each journey to and from a flight in this format. The samples are based upon the following itinerary: VS 10J 20NOV MO JFKLHR SS1 2145. 0925VS 45J 27NOV MO LHRJFK SS1 1400. 1640 For passengers booked in separate PNRs, who would like to share a car or any other requests not covered in these instructions, please call Virgin Atlantic at 877.443.0326.

The directional indicators such as ‘TO JFK’, and ’FR LHR’ are very important. They tell us which flight you want the car to or from, and should correspond to your client’s itinerary. We know there are a lot of X’s, and you’re helping us tremendously by putting them in.Pick up time (PUP) is only necessary for journeys to an airport. From an airport we’ll know the arrival time of the flight. Look for confirmation on your PPC queue number 1. You will receive your confirmation via a SSR message.

When you book your client in Upper Class J, D or I classes, you can easily book their complimentary chauffeur driven car service through Sabre, Worldspan, Amadeus and Apollo. Prior to booking your car service all APIS information must be provided, that includes: full name, date of birth,

gender, passport number, passport country of issue and passport expiry date. Some countries, including the USA, may ask for more information.

Book through the GDS only if you have at least 24 hours advance notice.For chauffeur driven car service bookings or changes to bookings on the day of a flight, call Virgin Atlantic at 877.443.0326. Please note that cars cannot be guaranteed if bookings or changes are made within 12 hours before departure.Book chauffeur driven car service only once you have ticket numbers in an OSI or SSR. For corporate clients who have a Virgin Atlantic contract, also ensure the deal code is added in an OSI or SSR.You can recommend a pickup time but the exact pick up time is determined by our booking system in conjunction with the car service company. Please check the queue response for confirmation of PUP times.Include a complete street address, with zip/postal codes.
