Assessment of community needs, planning service projects, local & international using club , district and RI resources. Carrying out projects involving all members , working with public relations, evaluating finalized projects & use the findings to strengthen future projects
Public Relations

Promote RC Morningside. Manage website and produce the Club’s newsletter ,create awareness of service projects, create exhibits and displays, advertise club projects in different media, post Rotary information on line, social networking sites.
Vocational
Chair : Geoff Verschoor Adherence to and promotion of the
highest ethical standards in all professions.
Vocational guidance for young people in the selection of careers
Establish communication with chambers of commerce and industry

Membership
Membership Chair : Geoff Verschoor Recruitment , retention , orientation ,
mentoring , education . Membership assessment and planning , diversity.
Current state of membership , priorities, goal. Member orientation programme.
Foster Club innovation and flexibility Every member of the club should play

New generations
Chair : Neville Paulsen Improve youth life skills . Undertake projects that
support fundamental needs: health , human values, education, self-development
RI programmes for new generations : Interact Rotaract ,Youth Exchange , Rotary Youth Leadership Awards ( RYLA).
Involve the youth in the Club’s activities Club to support their activities Apply Risk Management for Youth programmes Make it fun
Rotary Foundation
Officer : Maryam Dymond Use of Rotary foundation grants and
programs including District grants, Global grants , Packaged Grants. Polio Plus , Rotary Peace Centres . Attend District Foundation and Grants seminars. Ensure financial support from the club to Rotary Foundation. Organise Paul Harris Awards.
GOALS for 2014-2015
Strengthen the Club Continuity solid base , mentorship,
confidence Innovation & Flexibility new ideas ,
different views welcome. Member recruitment and retention
review of member expectations , motivating members to participate in projects , increase fellowship events

Focus on Humanitarian Service Assess present humanitarian projects ,
finalize those for which we have the funds. ( spring clean)
Be discerning of new projects. Viability. Happy mix of long term and short
term projects Create a strong fundraising committee
Focus on Humanitarian Service Align ourselves on the RI Foundation
projects : Peace & Conflict, Disease Prevention, Water& Sanitation, Maternal & Child Health Care, Basic Education , Economic& Community Development.
MAKE USE of the different available Foundation grants .Contribute to Foundation. Apply , work in conjunction with international clubs.
