• Club was Chartered on 12 August 1965.• I am 34th President of RC Islamabad.• PHFs in club 15 (1 PHF in 2010-11).• Net growth in membership, 4 members (2010-11).• Club has active Innerwheel Club Rotaract Club Interact Club


Installation Ceremony was held on 15th of July in Islamabad Club, Islamabad. Following dignitaries were attended the function; Chief Guest: Mr. Kashif Shabbir, President RCCI, Rawalpindi.Guest of Honor: H.E. Mr. Mourad Bohrehla, Ambassador of Tunisia.Guest of Honor: Mr. Perveiz Ahson, DGE Board of Directors announced and planning of the projects/activities for the rotary year. Guests were requested to share their comments. The ceremony was followed by High Tea.

Major Club Activities


July 2012

New Rotary years starts and in first meeting a request is forwarded by our senior member Rtn. Fazal ur Rehman about a poor lady’s Hearing Aids for her both ears. She is unable to listen and doctor prescribes her Hearing Aids for her both ears. This was announced in meeting and collection Rs. 10,000/- was made by members. Rtn. Zulfiqar was assigned the responsibility for procurement and later on it was handed over to the poor lady.


Board meeting was held in Islamabad club, Islamabad on 4th of August parallel with Inner wheel Club of Islamabad. Meeting started with Fateha Prayer for the brother-in-law of our senior member Rtn. Baqaa Ullah who died recently. Many proposals were discussed in meeting and assigned the duties of board members to work on their feasibility.


Rotary Club of Islamabad with kind support of Pearl Pharmaceuticals, Islamabad, handed over the Life Saving Medicines worth Rs: 91,000/- to Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad for onward distribution among flood affected people.

Club has also deposited a cheque Rs: 25000/- in Flood Relief

Fund of Imran Khan and Mir Khalil ur Rehman foundation’s Pukkar account through TCS for rehabilitation activities for Flood Affected People.


Club with kind support of Pearl Pharmaceuticals, Islamabad, handed over the Life Saving Medicines worth Rs: 41,500/- to Mr. Kashif Shabbir, President RCCI, in Rawalpindi Chamber’s Flood Camp for onward distribution among flood affected people.

As per planning of current year, the activity regarding scholarships for poor students was done by the club. I personally contributed the club Rs: 21,000/- and the same amount was handed over to Pak-Turk International School and Colleges, Chak Shehzad Branch, Islamabad, in account of Scholarship for poor student.


Past Film actress & an active Social Worker Musarat Shaheen visited the club. She asked for mutual collaboration for Fund Raising activities for Flood Affecties.


Club has done an activity of Free Medical Camp for Flood Affected People with collaboration of a Turkish NGO Kimse Yok Mu, Intanbul, Turkey. Detail is as follows;Total cost of this activity was Rs: 273,516.00Amount contributed by Turkish NGO Rs: 130,974.00Amount contributed by our Club Rs: 142,542.00


RC Islamabad has a current running project onhealth ‘The Lawyers Hospital’. It is a welfare trust and member Rtn Amna Bano is one of the trustees for the Lawyers Hospital.

RC Islamabad is engaged in arranging medicalequipment for the Hospital by reaching out tofellow Rotarians and their clubs.

Club President Rtn. M. Humayun Latif, IPP Rtn. Fayaz Qureshi and PAG Rtn. Fazal-ur-Rehman with other club members and Inner Wheel members visited the adopted Rainbow School, Gharibabad to deliver the books and chairs for one class. Inner Wheel Chairperson gave Rs: 5000.00 cash more for desks by her own pocket.

Club President Rtn. M. Humayun Latif was invited in the meat distribution activity of Pak-Turk International Schools on the event of Eid-ul-Adha. A photo with Chairman Mr. Unal Tusur.


Rtn. Amna Bano represented club in Rotary Foundation seminar in Lahore on 14-11-2010. She presented Club projects in seminar. A shield was presented to Club for its efforts for Flood Relief.


Our member Rtn. Amna Bano has become PHF in February 2011

with US$ 1000/- contribution to Rotary Foundation. Her pin and PHF certificate has received.


Club is regularly donating Medicines to Federal Government TB Hospital Rawalpindi on monthly basis of worth Rs: 15,000/- to 20,000/- for poor patients.


Club did an Activity of distributing Winter Bed Sets (Pillow, Mattress and quilt) among Flood Affecties in District Kohat on 14-11-2010. Club President was also presented Polio Stories Book to Principal of School.

At the end Club President presented Rs: 10,000/- cash to Principal for Uniforms of Poor students.


Club organized a seminar “Women In Rotary” on 20-2-2011 in Islamabad Club, Islamabad. Organizing committee was chaired by Rtn. Amna Bano as she is District Chair “Women in Rotary”. The seminar was co-hosted by RC Islamabad Margalla.


Club President Rtn. Dr. M. Humayun Latif host an Intercity Rotary Fellowship dinner on 16-3-11 at Pearl Pharmaceuticals, Islamabad. Clubs of Rawalpindi/Islamabad participated in it. Some pictures are ;
