Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) was founded in 1898 by Dr. Roswell Park and is the nation’s first cancer research institute. A leader in cancer research, patient care, prevention and education, the Institute now occupies 28 acres and 15 major buildings on the 100 acre Buffalo NiagaraMedical Campus in downtown Buffalo, NY. RPCI contributes on a grand scale to the world body of knowledge about the nature of cancer. As the Institutegrows, so grows its influence regionally, nationally, and internationally.
