Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald

Rose Kennedy, the oldest daughter of Boston politician John Fitzgerald, raised nine children, four of whom died young. The matriarch of the family compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, Rose was an intensely religious woman who campaigned for her sons and served as a public representative of the family's dignity until her death at the age of 104.
