Writing Choice Grid (Pick one if you’re looking for something extra to do and share on class dojo!)
Write a letter to a friend. We can deliver these to one another when
we get back to school.
Basic letter format:
Create your own alphabet story on a piece of paper! Each new
sentence must start with the next letter in the alphabet. How
exciting/interesting/scary can you make it? E.G. “Aunty Jane alway
complained. “Bit chilly, slightly hard, terribly difficult” she would mutter. Can I please go to …..
Pobble 365 creative story.https://www.pobble365.com/fairytale-ending/
Create a treasure map for someone to follow. Write the instructions and
clues to help them find your treasure.
It could be inside, outside or both!
Write a thank you card to each of the people in your bubble to thank
them for something they have done for you. It could be helping do so something, being quiet while you were concentrating, getting things ready for you, making a meal etc
Copy your favourite recipe and we will make a recipe book when we
get back to school.
Reading Follow up activities… Fiction (Not true) Non-fiction (true)
Make a list or draw pictures of the characters in the story. Write down words from the story that tell you something about them.
Name three things that were new or interesting to you from the text.
Write these down in a creative way. Maybe you read about sharks then include a drawing of a shark!
Design something for the main character that would help him/her in some way. Draw and label your idea!
For example… If I was designing something for George in George's Marvelous Medicine it might have been a cure for the medicine he created.
Make a poster advertising the topic the book was about.
Let's say it was about sharks and how they swim. Then your poster might have a picture of a shark with facts about how they swim around it. Or WHY they need to swim.
If the answer is 45 what could the question be? How many
can you make?E.G. 40+5, 44+1, 9x5, 90-45
