Your task this week is to be kind to yourself and take the positives out of each day. For the next week we are all going to keep a Positive Thoughts Diary. I have attached a worksheet which provides you with a template. From today until next Thursday, your task is to record a positive thought at the end of each day. Today’s task is to go outside and collect as many natural resources as you can which will be used to form a motivational or positive message. Resources could include flowers, leaves, twigs, stones etc. Create a positive message using your resources, for example you could create a happy face using stones, or a positive message using twigs like the one below.

As part of your topic we have been learning about the Scottish Borders. This week your task is to research the area where you live, Coatbridge. Find out about the area, population and places of interest, such as Sumerlee Heritage Park. You could present your findings like this: I have used Airdrie as an example. Airdrie is a former industrial town in North Lanarkshire which lies 12 miles east of Glasgow.

The origin of Airdrie’s name first appeared in 1373, and by 1546 it had become known as Ardry. In 1630 it finally appeared in the register of the Great Seal of Scotland, as Airdrie. Airdrie contains a variety of historical and modern attractions such as the Cenotaph War Memorial, (see picture below)
