Maintenance
• Check for burrs or other damage• Clean with mild soap and water• Remove rust with wire wheel or brush• Apply a thin coat of WD40 to any non painted
metal surfaces• May paint black to prevent rusting• Keep handle wrapped with black cloth tape

Safety
• Wear appropriate PPE– Minimum of helmet, gloves, and eye
protection
• Full turnouts and SCBA are required when utilizing tool in an IDLH atmosphere or when gaining entry into a possible IDLH atmosphere
• Check surroundings prior to using tool• Ensure the tool is the right tool for the job
