October 2,1838,an order from Governor Lilburn Boggs. He order’s the Mormons to leave the state of Missouri . “The Mormons must all be terminated or driven from the state if necessary for the public health”.

The Mormons were driven out of there towns. One of the starting points for the Mormon trail was Nauvoo , Illinois. It in the Hebrew language it mean “beautiful city”. The city Nauvoo was burned down!

On June 27,1844 Joseph Smith and Hyrum his brother were killed by an angry mob while in jail in Carthage,Illinois before the Mormon Trail.

. Six hundred or more people died of sickness or accidents during their stay in winter quarters in Nebraska. In Brigham Young’s small group of people there were about 143 men,3 woman,2 children ,72 wagons,93 horses,52 mules,66 oxen,19 cows,17 dogs and some chickens.
