Ron is a successful businessman who owns a well-rounded construction business. Ron Eakes was a young enthusiast who had just completed his studies when he introduced the Mid Plains Construction Company in Plains, Presently, his company staffs over 70 workers, and he owns three other ready mix plants along with this company. He has also joined his hands with two large dairies and is expanding his business quite rapidly.

The college has produced key players in soccer, baseball, basketball, softball, golf, etc. The athletics team of the college is known as Conqs or Conquistador. The Conqs participate in all the sports events organized by the community every year.
