ROMANIAN REPORT

FIFTH MOBILITY

29 MARCH-3 APRIL 2016

The fifth mobility of the project “ Touch the Magic of Fairy Tales” took place in Bucharest, Romania

from the 29th of March to the third of April. From each country came 2 to 6 representatives. On Tuesday, the 29th,

all partners were offered transfer from airport/bus stop to the hotel. That afternoon we enjoyed a walk downtown

and a view over Bucharest by night.

The welcome reception was programmed at 10 PM on Wednesday, the30th. All the partners were picked

up and driven to the school by bus. They all received a warm welcome by the Headmistress, Nicoleta Vilciu and

the coordinator, Romanosky Madalina, along with teachers and students from our school, dressed in traditional

costumes.

The EU Doll arrived in Romania. The Romanian representative dressed it in a traditional Romanian blouse,

called ‘ie’. The project’s mascot will stay in Romania until the next mobility and students will write in its

travel journal about everything she experiences during her stay.

The first project meeting was held in the Erasmus+ Cabinet. After the exchange of traditional gifts, the

representatives presented and analysed the drama performance of a traditional fairytale chosen in every

school for the project. They all agreed that the performance should be recorded on a DVD and also uploaded

on the project’s website for all stakeholders to see.

That evening, all the partners and some of the teachers from our school were invited to a traditional

Romanian restaurant for the Welcoming dinner. Here we got a taste of our country’s best offers: music and

food!

The second project meeting was held on Thursday, the 31st March .The partner school representatives

discussed the difficulties they had while uploading and downloading material on/from the platforms (E-twinning,

Facebook, Webpage, Blog) they had created for the dissemination of the project results. The partners discussed the

criteria according to which a fairytale song should be declared the winner. The partners attended class activities and they

noticed how relaxed and colloquial our students are! They also appreciate that our school is very light and so nicely

decorated and that our classrooms have lots of technology.

Because this year is our school 65th celebration, we prepared a traditional dance performed by

students from secondary school coordinated by teacher Marilena Sardan.

Everybody joined their dance on what we call “hora”.

On Friday, 1st April 2016, we started with our third project meeting where we set the dates for the

6th meeting in Spain form the 5th of June till the 10th of June 2016 and we prepared a Euro Fairy Tales contest.

Each country has to present the plays from all the other parteners and set a contest. Also Romania has to prepare

the dictionary of common fairy tales words.

This day the students from primary school were visited and we presented the types of education we

provide for these kids: both traditional and an alternative, Step-by-step.

At the Step-by-step alternative, students offered hand-made medalions with the Initials of all participant

partners.

After visiting the classes, everyone watched a puppet show dedicated to tradition and linguistic diversity.

In the afternoon, all partners and some teachers took a trip around Bucharest visiting the main

landmarks: Athenaeum, House of Parliament, The Peasant Museum, Village Museum, old parks and buildings.

This way we could present our history and our cultural heritage. Everyone was impressed with our capital: its

large streets, green areas, beautiful buildings and people, especially people. They were happy to meet nice,

polite, warm-hearted Romanians.

explained the history and the legends of these places. Everybody concluded that Romania is a beautifull country

with nice people!
