A fun group activity which playfully brings children into contact with measurement and geometry. The snakes can be put together in a wide variety of lengths, shapes and colours. Questions spontaneously arise when laying out a snake: how long is it? Which snake is the longest? What is equally long? Which one consists of more pieces, and does this also make it longer? The snakes can be measured with the accompanying strings, and the players can mark the length of their snake with a clip. The box also contains a string of one meter, to use as the standard size. This way, children learn to put together a snake of one meter, and to each time compare the other snakes with this meter. Apart from measuring exercises, it is also possible to play games that involve mirror images, colours and quantities.10

A game centering notice on visual discrimination. Visual discrimination is the ability to perceive accurately and to notice similarities and differences. An important skill in preparation of the reading process, which requires small differences between letters to be noticed in order to learn how to read corretly.The child each time take a serie of 4 cards that show the same object. The objects on the cards look very much alike, there is always a slight difference. The child compares the cards, look for the initial situation and then places the cards in logical order.
