Sensory Impairment and Inclusion Service Specialist teaching services & training for HI (hearing impairment) & VI ( visual impairment) to early years settings, primary,
(SENS) secondary, special schools, colleges and settings for learners aged 0-25 maintained and non-maintained in Ealing & out of
Interim Head of SENS borough or at home.
Frances Stimpson Advice following assessment is given to the schools or settings on how to meet the individual needs of the child, and the
[email protected] expected outcomes of the interventions. This includes assessment, advice and training on the use of specialist technical equipment such as radio aids, electronic braillers, screen enlargement or speech software etc.

caseload and transferring into Post 16.
The Teacher/Consultants for HI and VI provide training to Schools and Settings related to the inclusion of individual or groups of
children with HI or VI. The training may be to individual TAs supporting the child, groups of staff involved with the child, or the
whole school staff. Training is also provided to the peer group of the child to raise their awareness.
A pre-school group to provide training and advice for families of children with Hearing Impairment is held termly.
