• 15 states formulated/ formulating its own Organic farming Policies, since 2004
INDIA – STATE POLICIES1. Profitability of small farmers will have increased by reducing input costs.

2. Organic agribusiness – An attractive opportunity for educated youth of the state-• Creates a variety of job opportunities in the organic agribusiness sector, (e.g. post

3. Develop Bio Villages, Organic Villages for agro tourism, as part of the tourism development strategy of the state. The strategy will help convert organics into services with high value addition.
