SELECTION OF TREATMENT AREAS: Determine areas where rats or micewill most likely find and consume the bait. Generally, these areas are alongwalls, by gnawed openings, in corners and concealed places, between floorsand walls, or in locations where rats and mice or their signs have been seen. Pro-tect bait from rain and snow. Remove as much alternative food as possible.APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:RATS: Place 3 to 16 bait blocks (at intervals of 15 to 30 feet) per placement ininfested areas. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 10days or until signs of rat activity cease. HOUSE MICE: Place 1 block per placement. Space placements at 8 to 12 footintervals in infested areas. Two blocks may be needed at points of very highmouse activity. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 15days or until signs of mouse activity cease.FOLLOW-UP: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Wearinggloves, collect and dispose of all dead, exposed animals and leftover bait. Toprevent reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and harborage as muchas possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuoussource of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenishas needed.

been seen. Protect bait from rain and snow. Remove as much alternative food as possible.APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:Apply 1 or 2 bait blocks per placement. One-8 oz. bait block may provide enough bait to killtwo to eight rats. Use two blocks only at points of extremely high rat activity. Space place-ments at appropriate intervals - usually 15 to 30 feet apart. Maintain an uninterrupted supplyof fresh bait for at least 10 days or until signs of rat activity cease.

To prevent reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and harborage as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment.Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and re-plenish as needed.

For sewer applications, run a wire through the holes in the bait blocks and attach the wire toa stationary structure such as the bottom step of a manhole ladder or to a sewer grate, allowingjust enough wire for the blocks to rest on manhole benching. If benching is not present, sus-pend bait block a few inches above the high water line or place blocks on a board supportedby opposing steps of a ladder. Securing blocks in this manner will minimize the chances forremoval by rats or water. Place at least 12 bait blocks per manhole.

    DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in amanner inconsistent with its labeling.

READ THIS LABEL: Read this entire label and followall use directions and use precautions.

IMPORTANT: Do not expose children to this product oruse it for any purpose other than to control moles. Tohelp prevent accidents:

    1. Store product not in use in locations out of thereach of children and pets.

    2. Follow all application directions and USE RE-STRICTIONS on this label. Apply bait only in un-derground runways of moles. Keep pets out oftreated areas. Do NOT use this product aboveground.

    3. Dispose of product container and unused orspoiled product as specified on label.

USE RESTRICTIONS: This product may only be ap-plied at the use sites and by the application methods in-dicated on this label. This product may only be used inlawns, parks, around homes, golf courses, ornamentalgardens, nurseries and other non-crop grassy areas tocontrol eastern moles (Scalopus aquaticus), star-nosedmoles (Conylura cristata) or Scanapus spp. Bait mustbe applied directly into moles burrow systems. This baitmust be applied underground in either main under-ground runways or in subsurface feeding tunnels.Thisbait may not be used above ground. Wear gloves whenbait is handled.

SELECTION OF TREATMENT AREAS: The presenceof moles may be indicated by a network of subsurfacerunways in the turf or by a series of conical mounds ofearth pushed up from deep burrows. Subsurface run-ways are indicated by raised ridges of vegetation andsoil caused by moles foraging for food just below thesoil surface. These runways are especially noticeablewhen the grass above them turns yellow. Conicalmounds may be indicative of the location of deepermain underground runways.

    APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:

SUBSURFACE RUNWAYS: TALPIRID has been spe-cially designed to mimic the natural food sources of themole. To achieve maximum effect, TALPIRID shouldonly be placed in areas used habitually by moles forfeeding.

ESTABLISHING INITIAL ACTIVITY: Use your finger, small wooden dowel or a narrow rod to puncture a holein the top of subsurface runways. Be careful not to crushrunways. Mark opened runways and revisit them 48 to72 hours later. Runways that have had holes resealedwithin 72 hours should be baited.

BAITING ACTIVE RUNWAYS: Make a hole in the top ofthe runway with a rod slightly larger than the diameterof the bait. Drop one worm into the runway, using therod to push any exposed bait completely into the run-way. Carefully reseal the runway with a small amount ofdirt to exclude light. Repeat bait application every 5 to10 feet of each active subsurface runway.

DETERMINING BAITING RESULTS: Five (5) to 7 daysafter bait application, check for mole activity using thesame procedure for determining initial activity. Return48 to 72 hours later and retreat all active runs.

MAIN UNDERGROUND TUNNELS AND CONICALMOUNDS: Moles construct deeper tunnels that are notvisible from the surface. These deep tunnels systemsare often marked by a series of conical mounds (piles ofdirt) 4 to 12 inches high formed when dirt is pushed tothe surface when moles construct these tunnels. To lo-

cate deep tunnels, push a probe, such as a broom han-dle, into the soil between mounds. When the probe en-ters a tunnel, the resistance on the probe will decreaserapidly. Mark opened tunnels and revisit them 48 to 72hours later. Runways that have had holes resealedwithin 72 hours should be baited.

To bait deep tunnels, drop one TALPIRID worm throughthe probe hole, using the probe to push the bait com-pletely into the tunnel. Cover the hole with a piece ofsod, a small rock or a piece of newspaper to allow for vi-sual inspection. Repeat bait application every 5 to 10feet of each active deep tunnel and within 5 feet of eachactive conical mound. Check for the effects of treatment5 to 7 days after bait application using the same proce-dure for determining tunnel location. Return 48 to 72hours later and retreat all active tunnel systems.

NOTE: Bait stations are mandatory for outdoor, above-ground use. Tamper-resistant baitstations must be used if children, pets, non-target mammals, or birds may access thebait.USE RESTRICTIONS: This product can only be used to control Norway rats, roof rats andhouse mice in and within 100 feet of man-made structures constructed in a manner so asto be vulnerable to commensal rodent invasions and/or to harboring or attracting rodent in-festations. Examples of such structures include homes and other permanent or tempo-rary residences, food processing facilities, industrial and commercial buildings, trashreceptacles, agricultural and public buildings, transport vehicles (ships, trains, aircraft),docks and port of terminal buildings and related structures around and associated withthese sites. Fence and perimeter baiting, beyond 100 feet from a structure as definedabove, is prohibited. This product must not be applied directly to food or feed crops.

Burrow baiting with Ditrac All-Weather Blox is prohibited.

Do not place near or inside ventilation duct openings. Do not contaminate water, food, feedstuffs, food or feed handling equipment, or milk or meat handling equipment or sur-faces that come into direct contact with food. When used in USDA inspected facilities, thisproduct must be applied in tamper-resistant bait stations.

Do not sell this product in individual containers holding less than 4 pounds of bait.

SELECTION OF TREATMENT AREAS: Determine areas where rats or mice will mostlikely find and consume the bait. Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed open-ings, in corners and concealed places, between floors and walls, or in locations where ro-dents or their signs have been seen. Protect bait from rain and snow. Remove as muchalternative food as possible.

APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:RATS: Apply 3 to 16 one-ounce bait blocks per placement in infested areas. Space place-ments at intervals of 15 to 30 feet in infested areas. Maintain an uninterrupted supply offresh bait for 10 days or until there no longer are signs of new feeding by rats.

When baiting sewers, securely attach one end of wire to each block and the other end toa stationary structure such as the bottom step of a manhole ladder or a sewer grate.

APPLICATION DIRECTIONS (continued from other panel)Allow just enough wire for the block to rest on manhole benching. If benching is not pres-ent, suspend each block a few inches above the high water mark or secure block on aboard supported by opposing steps of the ladder. Securing blocks in this manner will re-duce chances that they will be removed by rats or water. Use 3 to 16 blocks per manhole, depending upon the apparent intensity of rat activity. Maintain an uninterrupted supply offresh bait for at least 10 days or until there are no signs of new feeding by rats.MICE: Apply 1 block per typical placement in infested areas. Space placements at 8 to12 foot intervals. Two blocks may be needed at points of very high mouse activity. Main-tain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 15 days or until signs of mouse ac-tivity cease.FOLLOW-UP: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Using waterproofgloves, collect and dispose of all dead, exposed animals and leftover bait. To prevent re-infestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and harborage as much as possible. If re-infestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation ispresent, establish permanent bait stations and replenish as needed.

DIRECTIONS FOR USEIt is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.READ THIS LABEL:Read this entire label and follow all use directions and use precautions.Use only for the sites, pests, and application methods described on this label.IMPORTANT: Do not expose children, pets, or nontarget animals to rodenticides. Tohelp prevent exposure:

    1. Store unused product out of reach of children and pets.2. Apply bait in locations out of reach of children, pets, domestic animals and nontarget wildlife,

or in tamper-resistant bait stations. These stations must be resistant to destruction by dogsand by children under six years of age, and must be used in a manner that prevents suchchildren from reaching into bait compartments and obtaining bait. If bait can be shaken frombait stations when they are lifted, units must be secured or otherwise immobilized. Strongerbait stations are needed in areas open to hoofed livestock, raccoons, bears, or other po-tentially destructive animals, or in areas prone to vandalism.

    3. Dispose of product container and unused, spoiled, or unconsumed bait as spec-ified on this label.

Note: Bait stations are mandatory for outdoor, above-ground use. Tamper-resistant bait stationsmust be used if children, pets, non-target mammals, or birds may access the bait.

USE RESTRICTIONS: This product can only be used to control Norway rats, roof rats and housemice in and within 100 feet of man-made structures constructed in a manner so as to be vulnerableto commensal rodent invasions and/or to harboring or attracting rodent infestations. Examples ofsuch structures include homes and other permanent or temporary residences, food processing fa-cilities, industrial and commercial buildings, trash receptacles, agricultural and public buildings, trans-port vehicles (ships, trains, aircraft), docks and port of terminal buildings and related structures aroundand associated with these sites. Burrow baiting with Fastrac All-Weather Blox* is prohibited.

Do not place near or inside ventilation duct openings. Do not contaminate water, food, feedstuffs, foodor feed handling equipment, or milk or meat handling equipment or surfaces that come into direct con-tact with food. When used in USDA inspected facilities, this product must be applied in tamper-resis-tant bait stations. Do not broadcast bait.

SELECTION OF TREATMENT AREAS: Determine areas where rats or mice will most likely findand consume the bait. Generally, these areas are along walls, by gnawed openings, in cornersand concealed places, between floors and walls, or in locations where rodents or their signs havebeen seen. Protect bait from rain and snow. Remove as much alternative food as possible.

APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:Rats: Place 2 to 12 blocks per placement (usually at intervals of 15 to 30 feet). Adjust the amount ofbait applied to the level of rat feeding expected at each bait placement.Sewers: For use in sewers, thread wire through block and securely attach to a stationary structuresuch as the bottom step of a manhole ladder or a sewer grate. Allow just enough wire for the blockto rest on manhole benching. If benching is not present, suspend block a few inches above the highwater mark or secure block on a board supported by opposing steps of the ladder. Securing block in this manner will prevent removal by rats or water. Use at least 15 blocks per manhole. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days or until signs of rat activity cease.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE (continued from other panel)Mice:Use 1 bait block per placement. Space placements at intervals of 8 to 12 feet in infested areas.Larger placements, up to 2 blocks, may be needed at points of extremely high mouse activity.Baiting Strategy:Highest bait consumption is expected to occur on the first day or two after treat-ment begins. After several days, inspect the placement and replenish bait at sites where there is ev-idence of heavy feeding or where there is continued evidence of rodent activity.Normally, the volume of bait consumed will be significantly less with bromethalin baits than with anti-coagulant baits. Although one night's feeding will usually provide a lethal dose, maintain bait for at leastone week to provide all rodents a chance to feed on the bait. Continue baiting until all signs of feed-ing have ceased.

FOLLOW-UP: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Using gloves, collect andproperly dispose of all dead, exposed animals and leftover bait. To prevent reinfestation, limitsources of rodent food, water, and harborage as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent baitstations and replenish as needed.
