At GMW, we ensure that every product leaving the factory premise is of the world­class quality. To this end we have built the manufacturing plant which conforms to the latest advance in steel manufacturing. It won't be exaggeration to say that GMW's steel plant in Thane, is one of the most modern steel plant in its category of Re­Rolling Mills.

GMW TMT Baes are available in the various sizes ranging from 8mm to 32 mm diameter of Gr. Fe - 415, Fe - 500, and Fe 550 as per IS:1786 /85 . Besides, they also conform to other international standards of reinforcement technology such as ASTM 615 (GR 40 & GR 60), BS 4461, DIN 488 , SIA 162, FRENCH Fe E 50,A35.016, etc.

The most striking feature of GMW 's product range and that of all the products manufactured in the company's factory is that they are in total agreement with rigid domestic and international ; guidelines, thus making them very qualitative and very reliable .

it has grown into a large company having a strong presence in the national and international market. Over the years, GMW has earned goodwill and reputation as strong as its products. It is ISO 90001 :2000 Company.

GMW is engaged in the business of steel Rolling and produces Evcon Turbo Bars which are manufactured using the globally acknowledged Evcon Technology. This way the company conforms to the existing trend in the national and international market.

Merits of GMW TMT Bars:

EXTRA STRENGTH The process used ensure combination of the surface and fine grain ferrite pear lite in the core providing higher strength, toughness and ductility.

THERMAL STABILITY : GMW TMT Bars have high thermal stability length unlike Tor Steel. It can be used even at high temperature till 6000 C without any drop in strength .

EXCELLENT STRAIGHTNESS : GMW TMT Bars are produced in straight length unlike most of the mills which produce the rebars in coil form. straightening of rebars by decoiling process does not provide the same straightness as provied by "GMW". GMW TMT is passed through a Special Rotary Flying Shear after passing through the cooling system which ensures perfect straightness.

HIGHER ELONGATION : GMW TMT Bars have elongation of over 15% even for FE 550 grade.

BETTER CORROSION RESISTANCE : GMW TMT Bars shows virtually no rusting even after a long time as there is absence of residual stress caused in case of CTD Bars.

HIGHER WELDABILlTY : GMW TMT Bars are produce from IS 2830 Billets. Hence , it can be used in making of prewelded meshes. The same is done without reduction in strength of weld joint.

EARTHQUAKE RESISTANCE : Indian Code does not permit use of steel bars with less than 14.5% elongation in earthquake zone no. 4 & 5. All grades of GMW TMT Bars guarantee elongation well above 15%.

MORE VALUE FOR MONEY : GMW TMT Bars provide more value for money due to saving as high as 10%­24% in steel consumption compared to CTD Bars.

The steel rebars are at a high temperature when they leave the last rolling

stand. They are immediately passed through a predetermined quantity of a

high-pressure water cooling system. this instant cooling tempers the outer

surface and it becomes very hard. The next phase involes cooling at an

ambient temperature that allows the hot core to temper the surface through ,

thermal exchange. This result in a unique tempered structure of martensite

(outer) and a fine grain bainite - ferrite / peartile (core) that is stronger,

preferred the world over.

ECHNICAL PARAMETERS WORD OF CAUTION : TMT process is a highly sensitive process. Many small re-rollers merely pass the bars through normal water without specific treatment required to produce High Strength Bars. User needs to be warned that yield strength of such bars in most instance is below FE415 Grade Which is not suitable for construction at all.

We are using Evcon Technology for producing TMT Bars. Hence , Specifiy GMW TMTBY NAME.
