Kohl’s Department Store of Grafton is a strong supporter of OzaukeeCounty 4-H.Their employees have donated their time and contributednumerous amounts of baked goods for special events under the Kohl’sAssociates in Action Program. The Kohl’s program received the 2015Friend of 4-H Award. Pictured are Fern Kannenberg of Kohl’s and Town &Country 4-H; Sheila Knepprath of Kohl’s; Wendy Hart of Kohl’s andWaubeka 4-H; and Jody Brzezinski of the Ozaukee County AgriculturalSociety.
Kurt and Cary Schoessow, active in 4-H for most of their lives,received the 4-H Leadership Recognition Award. CarySchoessow is a former co-general leader of Lindenwood 4-H.She has been a project leader for 23 years and has organizedactivities, variety shows and recruitment fairs. Kurt Schoessowhas been beef project leader for the club for the last sevenyears and has served as Livestock Association vice presidentand president. Jody Brzezinski hands them their award.
Diane Pfaffenroth has served Ozaukee County 4-H at the club and county level throughout thepast 17 years. She has worn hats as a 4-H leader,serving as a Cloverleaf 4-H project leader, Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree head, 4-H Haunt volunteer, 4-HCamp adult leader, Bunny Breakfast committeemember and IFYE raffle chairperson and spendsnumerous hours planning for the Ozaukee CountyFair. For her service, she received the 2015 4-HLeadership Recognition Award. She is picturedaccepting the award from Jody Brzezinski.
Dorothy Parchim has served as an adult leader of Cloverleaf4-H Club for 40 years. She is pictured receivng an award ofrecognition from Jody Brzezinski, president of the OzaukeeCounty Agricultural Society.
The Ozaukee County Agricultural Society has been in existence since 1859.The board elects a “Fair Board” annually to put onthe Ozaukee County Fair, working thoughout the year to obtain vendors, bands, amusement, entertainment and activities.Members work with the County Board, Ozaukee 4-H Leaders Association and support 4-H fundraisers. The society was arecipient of this year’s Friend of 4-H Award.
