Beams Beams are used as supports and some times to reinforce structures. They come in a variety of lengths and have holes in them to insert axles and connectors. They have only one column of connectors and the name depends on the amount of connectors on the column and its angle.

Axles Axles are used for gears, pulleys and tires. There is a variety of axle lengths and the name depends on its length in studs. (from 2 to 12 studs)

6 Stud 5 Stud 4 Stud 2 Stud
Bushings They usually go on axles to hold them in place. Half or short bushings, which are also small pulleys, have more friction than the full bushings and provide a tighter grip.

Connector Pegs Are inserted into the holes of the beams to connect and reinforce pieces. The gray connectors allow the pieces to rotate freely. The black connectors fix the pieces in a position and do not let them rotate. There are also connectors with axle to attach tires to beams.
