ACNE, ACHE, ACID, ALAS, AJAR, ANTI, ASKSBABE,BANK,BARK,BITE, BORE, BUFF, BRATCAKE, COLA, COLDDEAD, DOLL, DUSK, EASYetc.

Task – On one page make a collage of written text alongside magazine and newspaper cuttings of four letter words.

Task 2

1. Make sure your piece of paper or drawn out square is equal. Use a ruler to measure and to draw out.2. Divide your paper into 4 by lightly drawing lines with a ruler.3. Choose a 4 letter word (that isn’t offensive!)

Examples: (look up four letter words for scrabble on the internet)ACNE, ACHE, ACID, ALAS, AJAR, ANTI, ASKSBABE,BANK,BARK,BITE, BORE, BUFF, BRATCAKE, COLA, COLDDEAD, DOLL, DUSK, EASYetc.

4. Ensure each letter fills the space (as in Robert Indiana’s ‘Love’ image). The second letter needs to be turned on it’s side. The letter outlines sometimes blur into each other.

5. Note the colours that have been used. The main text is one colour. The insides of the letters are black and the back ground is divided by two colours (often contrasting).
