The Center’s Director is Dennis Tsilimingras, M.D., M.P.H. Center for Rural Health Research and Policy: Intrinsic to the mission of the FSU College of Medicine is to provide statewide expertise and training for physicians specifically in the challenges facing the state’s rural population. Dr. Gail Bellamy is now the Director of this Center. The Center is endowed by the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of FL Foundation. Center on Medicine and Public Health: This Center, established in 2003, is dedicated to study and enhance collaboration between the private medical sector and the public health sector. The Center focuses on education, community-based services, workforce issues and core competencies of the two professions. Dr. Les Beitsch (M.D., J.D.) serves as Director.
