History

LJA was founded in 1972 when John “Dutch” Lichliter established The Lichliter Company. In 1976, Bill Jameson joined as president, and the firm was renamed Lichliter/Jameson & Associates. The firm has evolved over the past 47 years into LJA Engineering, Inc. as it is known today.

At LJA, we continue to build upon our reputation, while broadening our knowledge and constantly striving to be better. To us, there is no measure that matters more than our own drive to exceed the firm we were yesterday, and surpass our clients’ and employees’ expectations.

Our history defines us, but in no way limits us. We are proud of landmark projects from our past and look forward to blazing a new path and setting the new standard. The best companies are about great people — and great people, working together, make great projects.

LJA’s Energy Services sector provides engineering services for capital,

maintenance, and integrity projects related to the transportation and

storage of petroleum commodities. Our experience includes pipelines,

pipeline facilities, and terminals on both greenfield and brownfield sites.

Our team of energy specialists offers unique solutions and unparalleled

responsiveness to every client on every project. Whether it is a main line,

lateral, or interconnecting pipeline, or related facilities such as pump,

compression, and meter stations, we are the go-to team. Our expertise

designing terminals covers the gamut of truck, rail, and intermodal, as well

as inland and bluewater marine facilities. Quite simply, if it travels via rail,

marine, truck, or pipeline, we design the conveyances and storage facilities

Our Environmental group specializes in compliance efforts regarding

NPDES permit requirements and the development of associated program

restoration projects for local communities, the private sector, and port
