We ROAR-Japan had our 27th AGM of 2005 on 16-17th July in very ancient andtraditional KURASHIKI City.Totally 47 people joined. We elected new President of this year JJ1KTZMitsu Shigehisa, International Net: JR1JCU Himax Ishihara, Secretary: JH1BEXYuh Kishimura, Treasurer: JE1JQX Yoshi Mutoh..We used to have about 150 members but we maintain 110 members now.We lost 2 active members JR1KYC Katsu Iwaya, JL6QWG Shige Ohmura andJR3QKZ Ichiro Tanaka as silent key.
Next year’s AGM will be held in Hachioji, Tokyo on 8th-9th July 2006.
Congratulations have beenexpressed to the ROAR-J membersfor their success with the 2004ROAR special station, 8N3RI inOsaka.
Ex President Ken Noguchi(JA3LHL) reported, worked on7, 14 and 21MHz.Contacts made - 8587 from JA1 toJA0, 230 from the Conventioncentre; 8444 from Mobile stationsand 104 countries.
On Friday 29th July ROAR-Japanmade its 8000th net on 7MHz.30 stations joined the net whichwas controlled by Past PresidentNao Mohri (JJ1KMW).The net meets every morning(except Saturday and Sunday) on7MHz SSB as well as CW.
